4x4 Matrix 16 Keypad Keyboard Module (Soldered from bottom)

The 4x4 Matrix 16 Keypad Keyboard Module gives you 16 push buttons arranged in 4 rows and 4 columns on one small board. Because the keys are wired as a matrix, all 16 can be read with just 8 microcontroller pins. This version has its header pins soldered on the bottom side of the board, so it is ready to plug into jumper wires or a socket.

Tip: Connect the 4 row and 4 column pins to 8 digital pins and let the Keypad library work out which key is pressed. If you are short of pins, an I2C expander such as the PCF8574 can read the whole keypad over just 2 wires.
