FSR 0.25x24" Sparkfun SEN-09674

The FSR 0.25x24 inch strip (SparkFun SEN-09674, Force Sensitive Resistor - Long) is a force sensitive resistor with a narrow sensing area just over 2 feet long. Its resistance drops when force is applied anywhere along the strip, which makes it easy to detect someone sitting, lying or stepping on a surface. It connects with two breadboard-friendly pins, so you can read it with any microcontroller analog input.

Tip: Wire the FSR in series with a 10 kΩ resistor as a voltage divider and read the middle point with an analog pin. FSRs are great for detecting presence and relative force but not for accurate weighing, and the tails can melt if soldered for too long, so use a female header or crimp connector.
