Leonardo R3 + Micro USB Cable

The Leonardo R3 is a development board based on the ATmega32U4 microcontroller, supplied here with a Micro USB cable. Unlike the Uno, the ATmega32U4 handles USB itself, so the Leonardo can appear to a computer as a keyboard, mouse or game controller as well as a serial port. It keeps the familiar Uno-size layout and is programmed in the Arduino IDE.

Tip: Select 'Arduino Leonardo' as the board in the Arduino IDE. Because the sketch runs the USB port, the COM port can change after a reset; if an upload fails, press the reset button just as the IDE starts uploading.
