The double layer smart car chassis is the longer version of the popular 4WD robot car kit. It comes with two chassis plates, four gear motors with wheels and the pillars, screws and nuts needed to assemble a two-level platform: motors and batteries on the bottom, and an Arduino, ESP32 or Raspberry Pi with sensors on the top. It is a ready base for obstacle-avoiding, line-following and remote-controlled robot cars.

Tip: The motors draw more current than an Arduino pin can supply, so drive them through a motor driver such as the L298N or L9110S and power them from a separate battery pack, for example 2 × 18650 cells. Solder the wires to the motor terminals before mounting the motors.
