POTENTIOMETER 200K

The POTENTIOMETER 200K is a variable resistor with a total resistance of 200 kΩ between its two outer terminals. Adjusting it moves the wiper along the resistive track, so the middle pin gives an adjustable resistance or voltage. The high 200 kΩ value is useful in high-impedance circuits such as timers, op-amp gain settings and audio controls, where only a small current should flow through the potentiometer.

Tip: For a voltage divider, connect the outer pins to the supply and ground and take the output from the middle pin. For Arduino analog readings a 10 kΩ potentiometer gives steadier results; 200 kΩ is better suited to low-current circuits.
