Quad OR (2 input) 7432

The Quad OR (2 input) 7432 is a 74-series logic IC that contains four independent 2-input OR gates in one 14-pin package. Each gate gives a HIGH output when either or both of its inputs are HIGH. It is a standard chip for digital electronics courses and logic experiments, and for combining trigger or alarm signals so that any one of them can switch an output.

Tip: Connect pin 14 to +5 V and pin 7 to GND, and place a 100 nF capacitor between them close to the chip. Do not leave unused inputs floating: tie them to GND or VCC.
