Solder Wick W: 2mm, L: 1.5m Desoldering wire

The Solder Wick is a 2 mm wide, 1.5 m long braided copper desoldering wire for removing solder from joints, pads and through-holes. Press it onto the joint with a hot soldering iron and the braid draws the molten solder up into itself, leaving the joint clean. It is a simple, low-cost tool for repairs, rework and removing components from PCBs.

Tip: Lay the braid on the joint and press the iron tip on top of the braid, not directly on the solder. Cut off the used, solder-filled end before moving to the next joint; a little extra flux helps the braid soak up solder faster.
