Speaker Grove

The Speaker Grove module combines a small speaker with an on-board audio power amplifier and a Grove connector. Plug it into a Grove base shield or a Grove-compatible board with one cable, then drive the signal pin to play tones, melodies, alarms and simple sound effects. The loudness is set with the on-board potentiometer, so no extra parts are needed.

Tip: Connect the module to a digital Grove port with PWM, such as D3, and use the Arduino tone() function to play notes. Run it from 5 V, because 3.3 V is below the module's 4 V minimum.
