16:1 MUX 74150

The 16:1 MUX 74150 is a TTL data selector/multiplexer that routes one of 16 data inputs to a single output, chosen by a 4-bit select code. It also has an active-low strobe (enable) input. It is a standard part in digital electronics labs and is used for data routing, parallel-to-serial conversion and logic function generation.

Tip: Because the output is inverted, add an inverter such as a 7404 if you need the true data. Hold the strobe low to enable the chip, run it from a regulated 5 V supply and fit a 100 nF decoupling capacitor near the power pins.
