Description

The 20 Bit WS2813 Mini RGB LED Rings carry 20 individually addressable WS2813 RGB LEDs arranged in a circle. Each LED has its own built-in controller, so a single data pin from an Arduino, ESP32 or Raspberry Pi sets the colour and brightness of every LED, and the WS2813's backup data line keeps the rest of the chain working if one LED fails.

20 Bit WS2813 Mini RGB LED Rings Specifications

  • LED type: WS2813 addressable RGB LED with built-in driver
  • Number of LEDs: 20 per ring ("20 Bit")
  • Supply voltage: 5 V DC
  • Colour depth: 8 bits per colour channel (24-bit RGB, about 16.7 million colours)
  • Data lines: main data input plus a backup input, so one failed LED does not break the chain
  • Refresh rate: 2 kHz
  • Protocol: single-wire, works with WS2812B libraries such as FastLED and Adafruit NeoPixel

20 Bit WS2813 Mini RGB LED Rings Applications

  • Status and indicator rings for devices and robots
  • LED clocks, gauges and dials
  • Lamps, wearables and decorative lighting
  • Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi lighting projects

What's in the Box

  • 1 × WS2813 mini RGB LED ring with 20 LEDs

Tip: Each LED can draw up to about 60 mA at full white, so 20 LEDs may need up to 1.2 A at 5 V; use a separate 5 V supply for bright effects. Add a 300–500 Ω resistor in the data line and a 1000 µF capacitor across the supply to protect the first LED.
