3V Cell Socket Cr2032 U-Shaped (1PCS)

The 3V Cell Socket Cr2032 U-Shaped holder takes one 20 mm CR2032 lithium coin cell and connects it to your circuit board. The cell slides into the open side of the U-shaped holder, so it can be fitted and replaced easily without soldering wires to the battery itself. It is the usual way to add backup power to a real-time clock or to run small low-power circuits.

Tip: Fit the cell with the + side, the flat side with the printing, facing the top metal clip, which is the positive contact on most holders. Solder the holder with no battery inside and work quickly so the plastic body does not soften.
