The ACEBOTT ESP32 Smart Car Starter Kit (model QD001, Explorer Series) is a build-it-yourself robot car with four mecanum wheels, so it can drive forwards, sideways and diagonally and spin on the spot. An ESP32 controller with a car shield runs the motors and sensors, and the car can be driven with an IR remote or a phone app over Wi-Fi. Students learn mechanics, electronics and coding through the tutorials.

Tip: Fit two charged 18650 cells with the correct polarity before switching on, and charge them with a proper Li-ion charger. Lift the car off the table for its first test so the wheels spin freely while you check each motor's direction.
