Brass Coupler (2-4mm)

The Brass Coupler (2-4mm) is a small rigid shaft coupler made of brass with a 2 mm bore on one end and a 4 mm bore on the other. It connects a small motor with a 2 mm shaft to a larger 4 mm rod, axle, wheel or pulley, with screws on each side clamping the shafts in place. It is a simple way to fit bigger drive parts to micro motors in robots, RC models and DIY mechanisms.

Tip: Rigid couplers need the two shafts to be well aligned, otherwise the motor bearings wear and the drive vibrates. Tighten the screw on the 2 mm side gently, as small motor shafts are easy to bend, and use thread locker where there is a lot of vibration.
