Brass Coupler (3-3.17mm)

The Brass Coupler (3-3.17mm) is a small rigid shaft coupler made of brass with a 3 mm bore on one end and a 3.17 mm (1/8 in) bore on the other. It joins metric and imperial shafts, for example a 3 mm motor shaft to a 1/8 in drive shaft or axle, with screws on each side clamping the shafts in place. It is a compact metal coupling for RC boats, models, robots and small mechanisms.

Tip: The two bores differ by only 0.17 mm, so test-fit each shaft to find the right end before tightening. Rigid couplers need well-aligned shafts; tighten the screws onto the flat of the shaft if there is one, and use thread locker where there is a lot of vibration.
