Ferric Chloride (PCB Etchant) 250g is a 250 g pack of iron(III) chloride, the classic chemical for etching printed circuit boards by hand. Once your circuit is protected on a copper-clad board with toner transfer, photoresist or an etch-resist marker, the ferric chloride solution dissolves the exposed copper and leaves only your tracks. The 250 g pack suits occasional etching and small prototype boards.

Tip: Ferric chloride is corrosive and stains skin, clothes and surfaces. Wear gloves and eye protection, use only plastic or glass containers and tools (never metal), and work in a ventilated area. Warm etchant and gentle rocking of the tray speed up etching. Keep it closed and out of reach of children, and do not pour used etchant down the drain, because it contains dissolved copper.
