Dip Switch Red 5 Pins

The Dip Switch Red 5 Pins is a red DIP (dual in-line package) switch block made of small individual switches that you set ON or OFF by hand. It gives a circuit board fixed settings such as an address, an operating mode or a set of options, and an Arduino or other microcontroller can read each switch as a digital input.

Tip: To read the switches with a microcontroller, connect one side of each switch to ground and the other side to an input pin with the internal pull-up enabled (INPUT_PULLUP on Arduino), so a switch set to ON reads LOW.
