Description

The EasyDriver Stepper Motor Driver V44 is a compact stepper motor driver board built around the Allegro A3967 microstepping driver chip. It drives one bipolar stepper motor at up to 750 mA per phase and needs only two control signals, STEP and DIR, so it is easy to use with Arduino, ESP32 and other microcontrollers in small CNC, plotter and camera slider projects.

EasyDriver Stepper Motor Driver V44 Specifications

  • Driver chip: Allegro A3967
  • Motor type: bipolar stepper (4-wire, or 6/8-wire wired as bipolar)
  • Motor supply: 6–30 V DC
  • Current: 150–750 mA per phase, set with the on-board potentiometer
  • Microstepping: full, 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8 step via MS1 and MS2 (1/8 by default)
  • Control inputs: STEP and DIR, plus ENABLE, SLEEP and RESET
  • Logic level: 5 V by default, 3.3 V selectable with a solder jumper

EasyDriver Stepper Motor Driver V44 Applications

  • Small CNC machines, laser engravers and pen plotters
  • Camera sliders and motorised turntables
  • Robotic arms and pan-tilt mounts
  • Testing stepper motors and 3D printer axes
  • Automated valves, feeders and positioning systems

What's in the Box

  • 1 × EasyDriver V44 stepper motor driver board

Tip: Never connect or disconnect the motor while the board is powered, as this can destroy the A3967 chip. Set the current with the potentiometer to suit your motor, and expect the chip to run warm at the higher settings.
