The Electrolytic Capacitor(100V) 220uF is a single aluminium electrolytic capacitor with a capacitance of 220 µF and a high maximum working voltage of 100 V. It suits bulk filtering and decoupling in higher-voltage DC circuits such as 48 V systems, motor controllers and audio amplifier power rails, where a 50 V or 63 V capacitor would not leave enough safety margin.

Tip: Electrolytic capacitors are polarised: connect the striped (negative) lead to the lower-voltage side, as reversing it can make the capacitor fail. Use it up to about 70–80 V to keep a safety margin, and discharge it through a resistor before handling, because a charged 220 µF capacitor at this voltage can give a painful shock.
