Electrolytic Capacitor 400V 390uF

The Electrolytic Capacitor 400V 390uF is a high-voltage aluminium electrolytic capacitor with a capacitance of 390 µF and a voltage rating of 400 V. It is used as the bulk smoothing capacitor after the rectifier in mains-powered switching power supplies, inverters, UPS units and motor drives, and as a replacement part when repairing them.

Tip: Always fit it with the correct polarity, because reversing it can make the capacitor fail violently. Charged to 400 V it stores about 31 J and can stay charged after the power is off, so discharge it through a suitable power resistor before touching the leads.
