Electrolytic Capacitor (50V) 15uF (5pcs)

The Electrolytic Capacitor (50V) 15uF pack contains five polarised aluminium electrolytic capacitors with a capacitance of 15 µF and a voltage rating of 50 V. They are used to smooth power supply rails, decouple circuits from noise and couple audio signals between stages, and the 50 V rating gives plenty of margin in 5 V, 12 V and 24 V circuits.

Tip: Electrolytic capacitors are polarised: connect the negative lead to the lower-voltage side of the circuit. Reversing one or going over 50 V can make it fail or burst, so keep the working voltage below about 40 V for a safe margin.
