Electromagnet 12V 50Kg Pull

The Electromagnet 12V 50Kg Pull is a strong holding electromagnet that runs on 12 V DC and gives up to 50 kg of pull on a steel surface. While its coil is powered it holds iron and steel plates, doors and parts firmly, and it releases them as soon as the current is switched off. It suits electromagnetic locks, heavy-duty grippers and holding fixtures that need far more force than small hobby magnets.

Tip: Switch the coil with a relay or a logic-level MOSFET, not straight from a microcontroller pin, and fit a 1N4007 diode across the coil (cathode to +) to absorb the switch-off spike. The full 50 kg is only reached on a thick, flat, clean steel plate that covers the whole face; thin sheet, paint or an air gap lowers the force a lot.
