High voltage diode 2CL2FL 15kV 100mA

The High voltage diode 2CL2FL is a silicon high-voltage rectifier rated for 15 kV reverse voltage and 100 mA forward current. Inside, several diode junctions are stacked in series, which lets one small part block voltages far beyond a normal rectifier such as the 1N4007. It is used to rectify high-voltage AC in voltage multipliers, high-voltage power supplies and physics experiments.

Tip: A high-voltage stack has a forward voltage drop of many volts, so it is not suitable for low-voltage rectification. Work on the circuit only when it is unpowered, discharge all capacitors fully and keep the leads well spaced to prevent arcing.
