Mosfet Transistor IRFZ44

The Mosfet Transistor IRFZ44 is an N-channel power MOSFET in a TO-220 package that switches high currents with a very low on-resistance. It is a popular choice for switching DC motors, LED strips, solenoids and heaters from 12 V or 24 V supplies, and for the power stages of inverters and DC-DC converters.

Tip: The IRFZ44 is not a logic-level MOSFET: it needs about 10 V on the gate to turn fully on, so a 5 V Arduino pin alone is only enough for small loads. For high currents use a gate driver, add a 10 kΩ pull-down from gate to source, and fit a flyback diode across motors and coils.
