Description

The Makey Makey HID Board (SparkFun DEV13747) is an invention board that turns everyday objects into computer keys. It connects to a computer by USB and shows up as a standard keyboard and mouse (HID device), so no drivers are needed. Clip a banana, a pencil drawing or a bowl of water to an input, and touching it acts like pressing a key, which makes it great for classrooms and creative coding with Scratch.

Makey Makey HID Board Specifications

  • Connection: USB, recognised as a keyboard and mouse (HID)
  • Drivers: none needed
  • Front inputs: arrow keys, space and mouse click
  • Extra inputs: header on the back for more keys and mouse movement
  • Microcontroller: ATmega32U4
  • Works with: objects that conduct a little, such as fruit, play-dough, graphite, water and people

Makey Makey HID Board Applications
