Tip: For a microcontroller input, wire COM to the input pin and NO to GND, and enable the internal pull-up, so the pin reads LOW when the switch is pressed. Use the NC contact instead for a fail-safe limit switch that also detects a broken wire. If the pins are not marked, find COM, NO and NC with a multimeter in continuity mode.
