Description

The Microbit 4WD Mecanum robot Car V2.0 is a DIY smart robot car kit built around the BBC micro:bit. Four geared DC motors drive Mecanum wheels, so the car can move forwards, sideways and diagonally and spin on the spot. It combines a driver base plate with sensors and lights, and students program it in MakeCode blocks or MicroPython to learn coding, robotics and engineering step by step.

What's in the Box

  • 1 × Microbit 4WD Mecanum robot Car V2.0 kit (chassis, driver base plate, 4 motors, 4 Mecanum wheels, sensors and modules)

Tip: Fit each Mecanum wheel in the position shown in the assembly guide, because the rollers must point in the right directions for sideways movement to work. Insert the 18650 batteries with the correct polarity, and switch the car off before plugging in or removing the micro:bit.
