Description

The Pixhawk 2.4.8 Flight Controller (Standard Version) is an open-hardware autopilot board for multirotors, fixed-wing planes, helicopters, rovers and boats. Based on the original Pixhawk design, it uses a 32-bit STM32F427 processor with a separate failsafe co-processor and on-board motion and pressure sensors, and it runs the open-source ArduPilot or PX4 firmware for stabilised flight, GPS position hold and autonomous missions.

Pixhawk 2.4.8 Flight Controller Specifications

  • Main processor: 32-bit STM32F427 Cortex-M4F, 168 MHz, 2 MB flash, 256 KB RAM
  • Failsafe co-processor: 32-bit STM32F103
  • Sensors: gyroscopes, accelerometers, magnetometer and barometer on board
  • PWM outputs: 14 (8 main with failsafe and manual override, 6 auxiliary)
  • Interfaces: UART serial ports for GPS and telemetry, CAN, I2C, SPI, analog inputs and micro USB
  • RC input: PPM, S.BUS and Spektrum DSM satellite
  • Storage: microSD card slot for flight logs
  • Firmware: ArduPilot or PX4, set up with Mission Planner or QGroundControl

Pixhawk 2.4.8 Flight Controller Applications

  • Quadcopters, hexacopters and other multirotor drones
  • Fixed-wing planes and VTOL aircraft
  • Autonomous rovers and boats
  • University research, robotics and competition vehicles

What's in the Box

  • 1 × Pixhawk 2.4.8 flight controller (Standard Version)

Tip: Power the Pixhawk from a proper power module rather than from the ESC outputs, and calibrate the accelerometer, compass and radio in Mission Planner or QGroundControl before the first flight. Always run first tests with the propellers removed.
