Tip: The + and − leads are marked on the body and the two ~ leads go to the AC source. Add a smoothing capacitor after the bridge: the DC output peaks at about 1.41 × the AC RMS voltage minus roughly 2 V for two diode drops, so 12 V AC gives about 15 V DC.
