RGB LED 10mm

The RGB LED 10mm is a large 10 mm round through-hole LED that contains red, green and blue LEDs in one package. By driving each colour separately, for example with the PWM pins of an Arduino or ESP32, you can mix them to produce almost any colour, including white, purple, cyan and yellow. Its 10 mm size makes it bright and easy to see as an indicator or mood light.

Tip: Use a separate current-limiting resistor on each colour lead, around 220 Ω at 5 V, rather than one shared resistor on the common lead. To find out whether yours is common anode or common cathode, test it with a multimeter's diode mode before wiring.
