Schottky Diode MBR20100

The Schottky Diode MBR20100 is a high-current Schottky barrier rectifier rated for 100 V reverse voltage and 20 A average forward current. Schottky diodes switch very fast and drop less voltage than standard silicon rectifiers, so they waste less power as heat. That makes the MBR20100 a good choice for switching power supplies, solar panel blocking diodes and reverse-polarity protection in high-current circuits.

Tip: At high current the diode gets hot, so mount it on a heatsink. The common MBR20100CT version contains two diodes sharing a cathode on the centre pin and tab, so check the datasheet pinout for your part before wiring.
