Tip: An Arduino pin cannot supply 0.83 A, so switch the solenoid with a logic-level MOSFET such as the IRL540 or a TIP120 transistor, and fit a 1N4007 diode across the coil to absorb the voltage spike at turn-off. Use a 5 V supply rated for at least 1 A, and avoid keeping it energised for long periods because the coil heats up.
