Water Valve 5V

The Water Valve 5V is an electrically operated solenoid valve that switches a water line on or off when its 5 V coil is powered. Its low operating voltage means it can share a 5 V supply with an Arduino, ESP32 or Raspberry Pi project, which makes it a handy part for small irrigation systems, drink and water dispensers, and automatic tank filling.

Tip: A microcontroller pin cannot supply the coil current, so switch the valve with a logic-level MOSFET or a relay module and place a 1N4007 diode across the coil (cathode to +) to absorb the switch-off spike. Install it in the direction of the flow arrow on the body, and check the pressure your water line supplies before connecting it to mains water.
