Wemos D1 Mini ESP8266 Chip

The Wemos D1 Mini ESP8266 is a small Wi-Fi development board built around the ESP8266 chip. It has a micro USB port for power and programming, works with the Arduino IDE and MicroPython, and is small enough to fit inside sensor boxes, smart switches and other IoT projects.

Tip: The I/O pins work at 3.3 V, so use a level shifter or voltage divider with 5 V sensors. In the Arduino IDE, install the ESP8266 board package and select 'LOLIN(WEMOS) D1 R2 & mini' as the board.
