2 x 18650 Cell Box, Without Cover with DC

The 2 x 18650 Cell Box is an open battery holder, without a cover, for two 18650 lithium-ion cells, fitted with a DC connector for the output. Instead of loose wires, the DC connector lets you plug the pack into boards and devices with a matching DC socket, so it is a tidy way to power Arduino projects, robot cars and portable gadgets from rechargeable cells.

Tip: Most 2-cell holders connect the cells in series, giving about 7.4 V nominal and 8.4 V when fully charged, which suits the 7–12 V DC jack of an Arduino Uno; measure the output voltage and check the plug polarity with a multimeter before connecting. Insert each cell with its flat (negative) end against the spring.
