The 25GA-370 12V 200RPM DC Reducer Gear Motor with Encoder combines a 370-size brushed DC motor, a 25 mm reduction gearbox and a magnetic encoder in one compact unit. The gearbox gives about 200 rpm at 12 V with useful torque, while the two-channel encoder reports how far and in which direction the motor turns. That makes it a good fit for robots that need accurate speed control, odometry or PID position control.

Tip: Drive the motor with a motor driver such as the L298N or TB6612FNG, and connect the encoder A and B outputs to interrupt-capable pins on your board. Power the encoder from the logic voltage marked on its board, and find the counts per output turn by rotating the shaft once while counting pulses.
