3 x AA Battery Holder Box, With Cover/on-off

The 3 x AA Battery Holder Box holds three AA cells in series inside an enclosed case with a cover and a built-in on/off switch. With alkaline batteries it supplies about 4.5 V, or about 3.6 V with rechargeable NiMH cells, and the cover keeps the cells in place in moving projects such as robots, toys and wearables.

Tip: About 4.5 V is too low for the barrel jack or VIN pin of an Arduino Uno, which need about 7 V or more. Insert each cell with the flat (negative) end against the spring, and switch the box off when the project is not in use to save the batteries.
