3V Active Buzzer

The 3V Active Buzzer is a small electronic beeper with a built-in oscillator, rated for 3 V. Unlike a passive buzzer, it needs no tone signal: apply DC power and it gives a steady beep, remove the power and it stops. That makes it the easiest way to add an alarm, key click or alert sound to Arduino, ESP32 and other low-voltage projects.

Tip: Mind the polarity and power it from a supply close to its 3 V rating rather than 5 V. If it draws more current than a microcontroller pin can supply, switch it with a small NPN transistor such as the 2N2222 or BC547.
