Description
The Piezzo Active buzzer Grove module is a small sound module for Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects. Because it is an active buzzer, it has its own built-in oscillator: switch the signal pin high and it beeps, with no tone code needed. The Grove 4-pin connector plugs straight into a Grove base shield or HAT, so you can add alarms and alerts without breadboard wiring or soldering.
Piezzo Active buzzer Specifications
- Type: active piezo buzzer (built-in oscillator, fixed tone)
- Connector: Grove 4-pin (signal, VCC, GND and one unused pin)
- Operating voltage: 3.3 V or 5 V (Grove standard)
- Control: one digital pin, HIGH for sound and LOW for silence
- Compatible with: Arduino, Raspberry Pi and other boards with a Grove adapter or jumper wires
Piezzo Active buzzer Applications
- Alarms and warning beeps
- Button press and status feedback
- Timers, reminders and doorbells
- Grove starter kits and STEM classes
What's in the Box
- 1 × Grove active buzzer module
Tip: An active buzzer plays one fixed tone, so use digitalWrite() to switch it on and off; for melodies with tone(), choose a passive buzzer instead. On a Raspberry Pi, use a Grove HAT or connect the signal pin to a GPIO pin with jumper wires.
