4xAA Battery Holder + DC Jack

The 4xAA Battery Holder + DC Jack holds four AA batteries in series and brings their output out on a lead with a DC jack connector. With alkaline cells it gives about 6 V, and with rechargeable NiMH cells about 4.8 V, making it a simple portable supply for small motors, robot car kits, servos and other battery-powered electronics projects.

Tip: Insert the batteries with the flat negative end against the spring. For an Arduino Uno barrel jack, 6 V is below the recommended 7–12 V input, so use a 6 × AA holder there, or power 5 V boards through a suitable regulator.
