The 6*12mm hollow cup motor is a tiny 612 coreless (hollow cup) DC motor, 6 mm in diameter and 12 mm long, rated at 3.7 V and 53,000 rpm. Coreless motors are light and respond quickly, which makes this one a common replacement motor for micro quadcopters, as well as a high-speed motor for small models and gadgets. This version turns clockwise (CW) and has red and blue wires.

Tip: A quadcopter needs two CW and two CCW motors fitted on opposite corners, so check which type each arm needs before soldering. Drive the motor through a MOSFET or motor driver, never directly from a microcontroller pin, and do not exceed 3.7 V.
