AC Socket 2-in-1 Fuse, Solderable

The AC Socket 2-in-1 Fuse is a panel-mount AC power inlet with a built-in fuse holder, combining two functions in one part. It gives DIY power supplies, amplifiers and other mains-powered enclosures a neat, detachable power cord connection with fuse protection on the input. The terminals are solder tabs, so the mains wires are soldered directly to the back of the socket.

Tip: Choose a fuse rated just above your device's normal current and check that its size fits the holder. Cover the soldered tabs with heat-shrink sleeving, connect the earth pin to any metal enclosure, and only wire the socket with the mains cord unplugged.
