DC Motor 12GA Exposed Gear 3V 30rpm

The DC Motor 12GA Exposed Gear is a micro gear motor in the 12GA size, the same small class as the popular N20 motor, with an open gear train where the gears are visible rather than enclosed. This version is rated for 3 V and turns at about 30 rpm at the output shaft, a slow speed for mechanisms that need to move gently and steadily. It can run from just two AA cells.

Tip: Keep the open gears away from hair, dust and loose wires, as a jam can strip the teeth. Two AA or AAA cells give about 3 V; do not run this 3 V version from 5 V or more for long, and use a small driver such as the DRV8833 for speed and direction control.
