Female XT60

The Female XT60 is the socket half of the XT60 connector, a widely used plug for high-current DC power in RC models and robotics. It mates with a male XT60 plug, and its shaped housing only fits one way round, which helps prevent reversed polarity. It is the usual connector on LiPo battery packs, chargers, ESCs and power distribution boards for drones, RC cars and robots.

Tip: Fit the female connector on the battery or power source side, so the live contacts are recessed and cannot short. Pre-tin both the wire and the solder cup for a quick, strong joint, use thick wire (12–14 AWG is typical) and cover each joint with heat shrink tubing.
