L298P Motor Shield

The L298P Motor Shield is an Arduino shield built around the L298P dual H-bridge driver. It plugs on top of an Arduino Uno and lets you control the speed and direction of two DC motors, or one bipolar stepper motor, with just a few pins. It is a popular choice for robot cars and small automation projects.

Tip: The L298 loses about 2 V inside the driver, so choose a motor supply a little above your motors' rated voltage. Check the pin labels on your shield to find which Arduino pins control speed and direction.
