Description
The Mini USB Host Shield 2.0 ADK is a compact USB host board based on the MAX3421E controller. It talks to your microcontroller over SPI and adds a full-size USB socket, so a small Arduino such as the Pro Mini can read USB keyboards, mice, game controllers, Bluetooth dongles and other USB devices. It also supports the Android Open Accessory (ADK) protocol for building accessories that work with Android phones.

Tip: This board runs at 3.3 V, so pair it with a 3.3 V Arduino Pro Mini or use level shifting with 5 V boards. On many versions the USB socket's VBUS is fed from 3.3 V; devices that need 5 V require cutting that link and supplying 5 V to VBUS.
