Multiturn Potentiometer 1M ohm

The Multiturn Potentiometer 1M ohm is a fine-adjustment variable resistor with a 1 MΩ track. The adjuster takes several full revolutions to cover the whole track, so small changes in resistance are easy to make and the setting can be repeated reliably. The 1 MΩ value is useful for high-impedance circuits, long timing delays and calibration points where the divider should draw very little current.

Tip: Use all three pins as a voltage divider, or the wiper (usually the middle pin, check the markings) and one end as a variable resistor. A 1 MΩ track has a high output impedance, so buffer the wiper with an op-amp before feeding an ADC such as an Arduino analog input.
