Multiturn Potentiometer 500 ohm

The Multiturn Potentiometer 500 ohm is a fine-adjustment variable resistor with a 500 Ω track. Its adjuster has to be turned several full revolutions to move across the whole track, so you can trim a low resistance in very small steps and repeat the setting reliably. The 500 Ω value suits low-impedance trimming, small voltage adjustments and calibration of meters and sensors.

Tip: For an LM317, the output is 1.25 V × (1 + R2 / R1). With R1 = 240 Ω and this 500 Ω pot as R2, the range is about 1.25 V to 3.9 V; put it in series with a fixed resistor to fine-trim a higher output voltage.
