Multiturn Potentiometer 5M ohm

The Multiturn Potentiometer 5M ohm is a fine-adjustment variable resistor with a 5 MΩ track. The adjuster takes several full revolutions to travel the whole track, so each turn moves the resistance only slightly and a setting can be made precisely and repeated later. The high 5 MΩ value is intended for high-impedance circuits, long timing delays and voltage dividers that must draw almost no current.

Tip: Use all three pins as a voltage divider, or the wiper (usually the middle pin, check the markings) and one end as a variable resistor. A 5 MΩ track has a very high output impedance, so buffer the wiper with an op-amp before connecting it to an ADC such as an Arduino analog input.
