Potentiometer 2W 500K ohm

The Potentiometer 2W 500K ohm is a rotary variable resistor with a total resistance of 500 kΩ and a power rating of 2 W. Its very high resistance means only a tiny current flows through the track, so it suits high-impedance circuits such as audio and amplifier controls, long timing adjustments and op-amp gain settings.

Tip: With 500 kΩ the power rating is almost never the limit. Microcontroller analog inputs prefer much lower values, around 10 kΩ, so for Arduino controls choose a smaller potentiometer, or add a 100 nF capacitor between the wiper and GND to steady the readings.
