The Resistor 0.5W 100K ohm is a through-hole fixed resistor with a resistance of 100 kΩ and a power rating of 0.5 W, sold in a pack of 5. Tip: Resistors have no polarity, so they can be fitted either way round. With 100 kΩ the 0.5 W limit is only reached at about 220 V, so power is never a concern in low-voltage circuits. When a 100 kΩ divider feeds an ADC pin, a 100 nF capacitor from the pin to GND helps give stable readings.
